Supervision and Training
Supervision
I am able to offer supervision for both individual psychotherapy practitioners and those running group reflective practice or group supervision. I have a particular interest in assisting therapists who, though may be trained integratively, are interested in adopting a psychodynamic approach.
As a senior clinical psychologist within a London-based mental health team, I supervise clinical staff and psychologists in training.
I have established services that provide reflective practice, supervision, and training to allied mental health professionals and third-sector workers. Additionally, I have experience running group supervision and reflective practice sessions for social workers. This work has covered a range of populations, including care leavers, unaccompanied minors, gang-affected youth, individuals with learning disabilities, and those experiencing mental health difficulties.
If you are interested in receiving supervision for your work, I recommend getting in touch to arrange an initial phone call. This will allow us to discuss your requirements and give me the opportunity to answer any questions you may have.
Training
Through my work in third-sector training and consultation, I have a background in creating and delivering bespoke training on mental health issues. I have conducted training sessions in corporate environments, for other allied mental health professionals, social workers, and the voluntary sector. I am adept at conveying complex concepts in clear, accessible language, tailoring the content to suit the knowledge level of each client group. Below are some topics on which I have provided training:
ADHD and its presentation in young people
Mental Health First Aid
Adolescents and Suicidality
The Internet and Mental Health
Supporting Young People Struggling with Their Mental Health
Attachment Theory: Understanding young people with mental health difficulties
Men’s Mental Health
